Cubelets Twenty is the perfect tool to deeply investigate robotics. Cubelets are a groundbreaking robot construction system designed for budding innovators ages four and up. Cubelets were designed to teach the big lessons behind complex systems, design thinking, and emergence with tiny robots. Cubelets Twenty comes complete with everything inventors, young and old, need to build thousands and thousands of interactive robots. Instead of programming your robot's behavior, you snap the Cubelets together and watch the behavior emerge like with a flock of birds or a swarm of bees. This kit contains Cubelets that are pre-loaded the newest Cubelets operating system, Cubelets OS 4.
Combine a host of sensors and action blocks to build your own robotic creations. The Cubelets 20 kit lets you experiment with 15 different types of Cubelets and includes multiples of our most popular pieces. Add a Bluetooth Cubelet (sold separately) to create remote- control constructions and other interactive projects.
The advanced technology inside Cubelets makes robot construction remarkably simple and fast. With Cubelets, there’s no wrong way to build a robot. Cubelets automatically route power and data where needed, freeing you to invent with creative abandon!
Cubelets Twenty standard kit comes with 20 magnetic blocks that can be snapped together to make an endless variety of robots with no programming and no wires. You can build robots that drive around on a tabletop, respond to light, objects, and temperature, and have surprisingly lifelike behavior. Instead of programming that behavior, you snap the cubelets together and watch the behavior emerge like with a flock of birds or a swarm of bees. Each Cubelet has a tiny computer inside of it and is a robot in its own right. When you put Cubelets together, you're actually making a robot out of several smaller robots. Each Cubelet communicates with its neighbors, so you know that if two blocks are next to each other, they're talking.
Recipe cards included to get you started.
Batteries included but not a charger. A charger is required to charge your Cubelets.
For ages 4 and up.
Cubelets are lead free.
We make modular robotic construction systems for kids because we believe that toys shape the way that children think about the world. Modular Robotics is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, where we design, engineer and manufacture our robots. We are a spin-off from Carnegie Mellon University and are recipients of SBIR grant funding from the National Science Foundation. Modular Robotics designs, manufactures, and distributes innovative toy robot construction systems for children, adults, hobbyists, science centers, museums, and schools.
